In Burnley, two former addicts and criminals now front a church. Using their lived experience, they start a 12 step recovery programme for those that are struggling in the community.
We follow the contradictions, challenges, humour and humanity in that process — from the inside.

Our approach is observational, character-led and grounded in the present tense.
We are interested in the moments that cannot be predicted, the relationships that cannot be scripted and the details that reveal something true about the human experience.
The intention is not simply to document what happens, but to create the conditions in which a story can reveal itself.

Aaron Black is an award-winning documentary director and multidisciplinary creative whose career spans factual television, independent film and electronic music.
With extensive experience working across leading UK production companies, Aaron has directed and produced factual programmes for major broadcasters, with credits spanning BBC, Channel 4, Sky and HBO.
Filmmaker / Journalist / Presenter
Rory Carson is an award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker and presenter whose career has taken him from professional football into investigative journalism and factual television.
After leaving professional football, Rory retrained as a journalist and worked as a BBC reporter, developing experience in investigative reporting and human-interest storytelling.
